SIKESTON, Mo. -- Jessie James McClinton Jr., 58, of Sikeston died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at his home.
He was born Jan. 24, 1948, in Sunflower, Miss., son of Jessie and Clara McClinton Jr. He and Geneva Turner were married Aug. 16, 1976.
McClinton was a farm worker many years.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jennifer Turner of St. Louis; four sons, Marcus Turner, Deron, Joseph and Terriante McClinton of Sikeston; his mother of Haywood City, Mo.; four brothers, James McClinton of Haywood City, Donnie McClinton of Cape Girardeau, Virgil McClinton of Chicago, and Felix McClinton of Mansfield, Ohio.
Also surviving are eight sisters, Carol Donaldson and Dorothy McCane of Burlington, Iowa, Linda McClinton of Chicago, Nancy McClinton of Cape Girardeau, Annie McClinton of Haywood City, Debra Wheeler, Brenda McClinton and Betty Turner of Sikeston; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Sikeston from 11 a.m. to service time Saturday.
The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Alex Simms officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Williams Funeral Home of Charleston, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
