Jessie Louise Koeppel, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 6, 1926, in Boston, Mass., daughter of James Wallace and Helen Clementine Calley Cook. She and Robert E. Koeppel were married June 3, 1948, in Baltimore, Md.
Koeppel was a surgical technician 15 years at Southeast Missouri Hospital and worked at Hilltop Nursing Home five years. She was a member of Maple United Methodist Church and had been a volunteer at Cape Senior Center. She was a Boy Scout den mother many years.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Douglas Koeppel of Liberty, N.C., Robert Koeppel II and Edward Koeppel of Jackson, Mo., Alan Koeppel of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Patricia Mungle of Cape Girardeau, Brenda Puchbauer of Fruitland, Mo., and Robin Payson of Omaha, Neb.
Also surviving are four sisters, Dorothy Brooke and Gilda Cook of St. Petersburg, Fla., Evelyn Carter of Daytona Beach, Fla., Diane Finlay of Franklin, Mass.; a brother, James Cook Jr. of St. Petersburg; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
