PUXICO -- Jessie Ashbaugh, 80, of Puxico died Monday, July 12, 1999, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.
She was born Aug. 25, 1918, at Puxico, daughter of Jessie Houston and Lucy Jane Williams Crank. She and Charles Lorin Ashbaugh Jr. were married Nov. 26, 1938, at Poplar Bluff. He died Oct. 28, 1972.
Ashbaugh had lived in Dudley and Puxico most of her life. She was a member of Puxico General Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Steve Ashbaugh of Gilliam, La.; three daughters, Carolyn Lowe of Puxico, Gayle Wright of Scott City, Sheila McGhee of Alpine, Texas; a brother, Bill Crank of Asherville; a sister, Marie Yocks of Scopus; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a grandson, and three brothers.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico after 6 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kenneth Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.
