SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Jessica Jo Arnzen, 17, of Scott City died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, in an automobile accident in Scott City.
She was born June 24, 1983, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Ervin Joseph and Lana Marie Glueck Arnzen Jr.
Arnzen was a senior at Scott City High School, where she was class treasurer, an honor student, and a cheerleader.
She was Student Council treasurer, member of Science Club, National Honor Society, vice president of Future Teachers of America, Model United Nations, Pep Club, Key Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Speech Club, yearbook staff, played volleyball and softball, and was an officer in the 4-H Club.
Arnzen worked at Target in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.
Survivors include her parents; a sister, Lori Arnzen of the home; a brother, Craig Arnzen of the home; paternal grandparents, Ervin J. and Dorothy Arnzen of Leopold, Mo.; and maternal grandmother, Ann Glueck of Kelso, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather.
Friends may call at Scott City High School gymnasium from 5-9 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7. Friends may also call at St. Augustine Church after 8 a.m. Thursday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
