SCOTT CITY -- Jesse William "Dub" Varnon, 56, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 1994, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.
He was born Jan. 20, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, son of Jesse Anderson and Cleone Laverne Albert Varnon. He and Carol Jean Cole were married Jan. 19, 1960, in St. Louis.
Varnon was a salesman with Hilti Fastening Systems. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of Scottish Rite, and was assistant state director of Missouri Gold Wing Road Riders Association.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Kevin Varnon of St. Louis, and his father of Scott City.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. William Dickey officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce.
