Jesse Ray Cobble, 89, of 1403 Bloomfield died Monday, March 6, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born March 30, 1905, the son of Wilson F. and Minnie Hartle Cobble. He married Eula Wallis on Feb. 18, 1933, in Benton.
Cobble worked for the U.S. Government in Panama as a millwright during World War II, later working as a millwright throughout the United States and abroad. He retired in 1970 and later engaged in farming around the Millersville area. He was a member of St. Mark's Lodge 93, Cape Girardeau Commandery 55, Cape Council 20 R.& S.M., Wilson Chapter 75 R.A.M. and Carpenters Local 1770 of Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Dan W. Cobble of Jefferson City; a daughter, Frankie LaRay Arcand of Ballwin; and six grandchildren.
A brother and a grandchild preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, where there will be Masonic services at 7 p.m. conducted by St. Mark's Lodge 93.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Jimmie Dace officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
