BRAGG CITY -- Funeral service for Jesse O'Neil Johns of Bragg City was held Sunday at McDaniel Funeral Chapel in Kennett. The Rev. Cecil Wilson officiated, with burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Johns, 74, died Friday, Sept. 18, 1992, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

He was born Jan. 18, 1918, in Murray Junction, Tenn., son of Carlos and Florence Irene Privett Johns. He and Marcella Drewry were married Dec. 2, 1939, in Mississippi County, Ark. She died April 15, 1978.

Johns was a member of Bragg City Church of Christ, and Bragg City Lions Club. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include two brothers, Sandy Johns of Steele, James Johns of Jackson; two sisters, Lillie Prichard of Friendship, Tenn., Pauline Vida of Farmington, Mich.; a half brother, William Johns of Roland Heights, Calif.; three half sisters, Mattie Ray of Jackson, Tenn., Lorene Johns of Roland Heights, and Vera Brown of Steele.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a half sister.
