PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Jesse L. Moonier, 79, of Perryville died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at Jefferson County Memorial Hospital in Festus, Mo.
He was born Nov. 8, 1920, in Perryville, son of Emil and Lillian Hager Moonier. He and Dessie Haupt were married June 1, 1946. She died Aug. 28, 1985.
Moonier had worked at International Shoe Co. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Jenkins of Perryville; two sisters, Bernetta Winkler of Wynne, Ark., Aileen Elder of St. Louis; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Saturday.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Jim Bruns and the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz will officiate. Burial will be in Home Cemetery, with military rites by Moonier-Reddick American Legion Post 133.
