Funeral service for Jesse Eugene Wissmann, 603 Albert, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to service time.
Wissmann, 74, died Friday, Aug. 6, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Dec. 15, 1918, at Oriole, son of John David and Ethyl Perry Wissmann. He and Mary McLain were married Aug. 17, 1940, at Jackson.
Wissmann was employed by Rust and Martin 40 years, and after retiring in 1981 drove a school bus for Ryder Bus Line eight years. He was a member of Red Star Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Zane Wissmann of Cape Girardeau, Wayne Wissmann of Scott City, Mark and Donald Wissmann of Jackson; a daughter, Fern Hency of Benton; five sisters, Rosie Grubb and Lula Palomarez of Cape Girardeau, Marie Barrett of Columbus, Ohio, Mabel Reedy of Grove City, Ohio, Jewell Cantrell of Brownsville, Texas; 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, two sisters and four brothers.
