MILLERSVILLE -- Funeral service for Jesse David Lutes of Millersville will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Scott Lohse will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Lutes, 70, died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, son of David Andrew and Maradie Brown Lutes. He and Martha Goode were married Dec. 14, 1947, in Piggott, Ark.
Lutes worked at Cape GMC nine years, and was chief engineer with Ingram Barge Lines 30 years.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Rick Lutes of Jackson; two daughters, Janice Oliver of Millersville, Linda Pratt of Scott City; Raymond Lutes of Kansas City, Kan.; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sons, a brother and a sister.
