SIKESTON, Mo. -- Jerry L. Wyatt, 61, of Elkton, Ky., formerly of Sikeston, died Friday, April 5, 2002, at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born March 4, 1941, in Sikeston, son of J.E. and Elsie N. Nelson Wyatt.
A 1959 graduate of Sikeston High School, he served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962.
He and Cathy Hulett were married July 29, 1977, in Lawrence, Ind.
A machinist for more than 30 years. He had worked for Indiana Gear Company in Indianapolis and for more than 20 years at Reeder and Kline Manufacturing in Carmel, Ind.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Wyatt of Elkton; his mother, Elsie Wyatt of Sikeston; a son, Bryan Daurelle of Elkton; four daughters, Leslye Noe and Marcia Blanchard, both of Waxahatchie, Texas, Nicole Maynard of Indianapolis, Amanda Stevens of Elkton; three brothers, Marvin Dale Wyatt of Sunset Hills, Mo., David Wyatt of Cicero, Ind., Darrell Wyatt of Hillsboro, Mo.; one sister, Ellen Merick of Jefferson City, Mo.; 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Bouldrey officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
