COMMERCE, Mo. -- Jerry Cleo Wright, 80, of Commerce died Monday, June 13, 2022, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 28, 1942, in Commerce to Cleo and Ruby Zoa Hamm Wright. He married Glenna Shirley McLain on April 14, 1964, and she preceded him in death June 23, 2003.
Jerry was an operator for Local 513 Operating Engineers.
He is survived by a son, Jerry (Ann) Wright Jr. of Mooresville, North Carolina; daughter, Cheri (Chris) Vetter of Benton, Missouri; three brothers, Kenny Wright of Commerce, Ronnie (Lucy) Wright of Scott City and Bill Hamm of Jacksonville, North Carolina; two sisters, Betty (Bill) Mabrey of Scott City and Janice (Walter) Margrabe of Cape Girardeau; sister-in-law, Dorene Hamm of Scott City; four grandchildren, Josh Wright, JoBeth Wright, Kaitlin (Garrett) Roslen and Kristen (Albert) Horn; and four great-grandchildren, Reece, Maddox and Emersyn Roslen and Aniston Horn.
Jerry was also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dale Hamm; and a sister, Mary Lou Anderson.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce.
