EAST PRAIRIE -- Jerry Lee Weakley, 52, of East Prairie died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at his home. He was born Oct. 22, 1946, in Cairo, Ill., son of Charles Walter and Mary Virginia Ledbetter Weakley. He and Regina Sue Nunn were married Dec. 17, 1980. Weakley had lived in East Prairie 12 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Jerry Lee Weakley, 52, of East Prairie died Tuesday, June 8, 1999, at his home.

He was born Oct. 22, 1946, in Cairo, Ill., son of Charles Walter and Mary Virginia Ledbetter Weakley. He and Regina Sue Nunn were married Dec. 17, 1980.

Weakley had lived in East Prairie 12 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Jerri Stuber of Jefferson City, Mary Weakley of Kansas City; four brothers, Donnie Weakley of Chaffee, Harvey Weakley, address unknown, Jimmy Weakley of East Prairie, Larry Weakley of Charleston; two sisters, Linda Sparks of Wyatt, Carla Walker of Cape Girardeau; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call at the family home from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday.

There will be no service.

Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.
