ROCKVIEW, Mo. -- Jerry Keith Totty, 78, of Rockview earned his wings and went to be with our Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 25, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Jerry was the youngest of five children, born May 11, 1941, to Eugene and Benita Eskew Totty in Rockview, where he remained a lifelong resident.

On Feb. 6, 1960, Jerry married his childhood sweetheart and love of his life, Janet Sue Sadler. They made their home in Rockview and had three children.

A proud member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters for more than 50 years, Jerry worked all over the country as a welder/pipefitter until his retirement in 2003. He had an excellent work ethic and was well known in his field as one of the very best.

Jerry was also a highly respected member of his church and community. He had an unyielding faith and was known by all as a Lord-fearing man. He was initiated in Chaffee, Missouri, Masonic Lodge 615 in May 1976 and served as worshipful master.

When he wasn't working or serving his community, you could more often than not find him in his garage designing something, taking something apart or putting it back together. He knew his way around cars and machines and could fix almost anything mechanical. He was always there to help anyone who needed it. More than once, he received a middle-of-the-night call for assistance, and he never once hesitated to help. He was truly a man who would give you the shirt off his back and actually did a time or two. If he said he would do something, you could take it as gospel. He will be incredibly missed by everyone who was blessed to know him.
