Jerry Edward Tankersley, 75 of Perkins, Missouri, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
He was born Dec. 8, 1941, in Bessville, Missouri to Ernest and Mildred Lincoln Tankersley. He married Linda Hogg on May 19, 1961, and she survives of the home.
He was a retired forklift driver. He was a member of Perkins Baptist Church in Perkins.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; a son Randy (Trina) Tankersley of Perkins; a daughter, Angela (Ed) Moncada of St. Louis; three brothers, Billy Tankersley of Delta, Doyle Tankersley of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Danny Tankersley of Gordonville; three sisters, Joyce Spane of Chaffee, Missouri, Lois Douglas of Gordonville and Tina Minner of Oak Ridge; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with Revs. Patrick Tankersley and Ed Moncada. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery in Perkins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
