Jerry Sticht

Jerry May Sticht, 78, formerly of Oak Ridge, died Monday, April 24, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She had lived at the Monticello House in Jackson since 2002.

She was born March 4, 1928, in Friedheim, Mo., daughter of the late Harmon D. and Letha M. Harris Dickmann.

Sticht worked many years at the former Deal Nursing Home in Jackson, and was a cook at Al's Midtown in Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her son, Marty Sticht of Advance, Mo.; a daughter, Loretta Proffer of Jackson; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Barry Dickmann of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
