Jerry Smith

MORLEY, Mo. -- Jerry W. Smith, 69, of Morley died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at Wappapello, Mo.

He was born July 13, 1938, at Whitewater, son of Willard Wayne and Billie Marie Birkman Smith. He and Janet Garner were married Sept. 14, 1963.

Smith was a graduate of Delta High School. He retired as a ground serviceman with Trans World Airlines in St. Louis. He was a member of Morley Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother of Delta; his wife of Morley; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jerry Smith Jr. of St. Charles, Mo., Jeff and Heidi Smith of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Dominic Guillossou of Flanders, N.J.; three grandchildren, Max Guillossou of Flanders, Austin Smith of Fort Worth, Justin Smith of Wentzville, Mo.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Leland Graviett of Farmington, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Mo.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Morley Baptist Church, with Rodney Davis officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
