ROSE CREEK, Minn. -- Jerry D. Slattery, 60, of Rose Creek died Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota.
He was born Jan. 2, 1956, in Perryville, Missouri, the son of Donald F. and Doris Abernathy Slattery Sr.
Jerry ran track in high school and enjoyed fishing, carpentry and playing cards. His travels took him to many places, including Canada and Puerto Rico.
In June 1984 Jerry married Lori Lanspeary in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The couple had two sons, and later were divorced.
Jerry worked as a management consultant for Kepner-Tregoe for over 20 years.
Jerry is survived by his two sons, Christopher Slattery of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Thomas Slattery of Grand Ledge, Michigan; a grandchild; his father, Donald F. Slattery Sr. of Harlingen, Texas; four brothers, Larry (Mary) Slattery of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, Terry (Annette) Slattery and Tim Slattery, both of Cape Girardeau, and John Slattery of Jackson; and a sister, Sharon (Rick) Meyer of Longtown, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Slattery.
Memorial services will be private for the family.
