SIKESTON, Mo. — Jerry Lee Sindle, 64, of Sikeston, Mo., died March 22, 2009, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 7, 1944, in Pop City, Mo., son of Gene and Ollie Jones Sindle. He and Diane Gates were married Dec. 3, 1976, in Pop City.
Sindle worked for Coca-Cola for several years. He was in charge of maintenance for Kelly School and was a bus driver for 23 years. He managed Paintball Planet in Blodgett, Mo., and was a member of Hooe Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, David Gilliland of Vanduser, Mo., and Jerry Sindle Jr. of Sikeston; two daughters, Sherri James of Carlsbad, Calif., and Mendy Russell of Blodgett; three brothers, Charles Sindle of Bloomfield, Mo., James Sindle of Oran, Mo., and Ronnie Sindle of Sikeston; a sister, Rena Matthews of Hillsboro, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Todd Crumley will officiate, with burial in New Morley Cemetery.
