SHERMAN, Texas -- Jerry Wayne Pirtle Jr., 41, of Sherman died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, in Sherman. He was born Jan. 30, 1965, in Cape Girardeau, son of Jerry Wayne Pirtle Sr. and Sharon Sue Hanks. Pirtle was a contractor and roofer. Survivors include his mother, Sharon Hanks of Cordova, Tenn.; father and stepmother, Jerry and Shirley Pirtle of Randles, Mo.; a son, Joshua Pirtle of Springfield, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Leslie Cross of Benton; two brothers, Rodney Davis of Oran and Mark Pirtle of Randles; two sisters, Nancy Trentham of Cordova, Tenn., and Glenda Thomas of Randles; and four grandchildren.. ...

Survivors include his mother, Sharon Hanks of Cordova, Tenn.; father and stepmother, Jerry and Shirley Pirtle of Randles, Mo.; a son, Joshua Pirtle of Springfield, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Leslie Cross of Benton; two brothers, Rodney Davis of Oran and Mark Pirtle of Randles; two sisters, Nancy Trentham of Cordova, Tenn., and Glenda Thomas of Randles; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Rick McNeely officiating. Burial will be at the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, Mo.
