Jerry Lynn Moran, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 30, 1941, in Perry County, Missouri, to Edwin and Alma Loberg Moran. He and Patricia Logsdon were married June 5, 1964, at Cape Girardeau.
He served in the National Guard.
Jerry worked for Sears, first in the automotive-repair department and then in customer service. He later worked for Saint Francis Medical Center as a security guard for 12 years.
He was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed building dollhouses with his daughter, Debbie.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Moran of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Deborah (Thomas) Cole of Weatherford, Texas, and Tamara (Arthur) Knepp of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Edna Mae (Lloyd) Lintner of Sedgewickville, Missouri; and four grandchildren, Zealand and Abrianna Cole and Cali and Caedan Knepp.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hanover Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Tony Kobak officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
