Jerry D. Jackson, 52, of Jackson died Monday, June 17, 2013, at his home. He was born July 28, 1960, in Detroit, to Wilburn and June Gibson Jackson. He and Debra Merchant were married in Texas. Jerry D. Jackson, 52, of Jackson died Monday, June 17, 2013, at his home.

He was born July 28, 1960, in Detroit, to Wilburn and June Gibson Jackson. He and Debra Merchant were married in Texas.

Jerry was a good and loving dad and grandfather.

Survivors include his mother, June Hadley of Cape Girardeau; wife, Debra Jackson of Jackson; five sons, Jerry Jackson Jr. of Patton, Mo., Daniel Jackson of Scott City, Will Jackson, David Merchant and Austin Jackson, all of Jackson; a brother, William Jackson of Granite City, Ill.; a sister, Beverly Miller of Scott City; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lorimier Cemetery.
