Jerry D. Green, 80, of Sedgewickville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, at his home.
He was born August 27, 1941, in Whitewater to Herbert and Alta Chapman Green. He and Martha S. "Sue" Thiele were united in marriage on May 27, 1961, at Sedgewickville Lutheran Church.
Jerry was a lifelong cattle farmer near Sedgewickville and worked many years at Lenco in Jackson. He was a member of Sargent's Chapel Lutheran Church near Sedgewickville and the American Legion in Perryville, Missouri.
Loving survivors include his wife of 60 years, Sue Green; a daughter, Debbie Schnurbusch (Leonard Weber II), a granddaughter, Denise (Bo) Lewis and their son Eli, all of Sedgewickville; a brother, Don (Marge) Green of Kentucky; and a brother-in-law, Don (the late Goldie) Darnell of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Ray (Jean) Green, Gilbert (Nelda) Green, and Goldie Darnell.
Friends and family are invited to a casual gathering from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday at Jerry and Sue's home in Sedgewickville.
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorial contributions to Sargent's Chapel Lutheran Church or the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
