Jerry Raymond Finley, 71, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Scott City, died Thursday, July 30, 2009.
He was born Jan. 20, 1938, in Scott City, to Oliver Thomas and Myrtle "Fern" Stephens Finley. He and Julie Ann Ivester were married Oct. 20, 1984, in Commerce, Mo.
Jerry was employed by Wal-Mart as a maintenance worker and door greeter. After he retired he worked at Bob Evans. He was a member of Maple United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jason (Judy) Wild of Jackson, Tim (Krystal) Finley of Scott City; a daughter, Melanie Wild of Cape Girardeau; four brothers, Steve and Tom Finley of Scott City, Dick Finley of Arnold, Larry Sikeston of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; four sisters, Mary Ellen Culbertson of Chandler, Tenn., Margaret Gott and Kay Cotton of Scott City and Bobbie Gipson of Pine Bluff, Ark.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to service time Monday at Maple United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Jim Cooper officiating.
