Jerry Wayne Ferrell, 70, of Scott City passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2015.
He was born Sept. 27, 1944, in Harrisburg, Illinois, to Guy and Opal Fox Ferrell. Jerry and Patricia Bethel were married Feb. 1, 1973.
He was retired from the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of Scott City; two sons, J.J. Ferrell Jr. of Ocala, Florida, and Quinton Ferrell of Eldorado, Illinois; four daughters, Tina Hermanson of Ocala and Lisa Ritch, Carrie Calhoun and Kandi Gross, all of Scott City; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and one grandchild.
A memorial visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
