CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Jerry W. Evans, 67, of Chaffee passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 13, 1948, in St. Louis to Norma Lee Jones and the late Ottis W. Evans Sr. He married Annetta A. Davis on Nov. 23, 1990, and she survives.
Jerry was in the United States Army.
Jerry enjoyed fishing and rabbit hunting. He worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation, retiring as a highway maintenance worker.
He is survived by his mother, Norma Evans of Chaffee; his wife, Annetta Evans of Chaffee; a daughter, Jessie Evans of Chaffee; and a brother, Ottis W. Evans Jr. of High Ridge, Missouri.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, James Evans.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with the Rev. Josh Boley officiating. Burial will be with full military honors by the Missouri Honor Guard.
