JERRY D. PETTIT

PERKINS -- Funeral srevice for Jerry D. Pettit of Lennon, Mich., was held April 6 at Sharp Funeral Home in Swartz Creek, Mich.

Pettit, 56, died Saturday, April 2, 1994, at his home.

He was born Jan. 9, 1938, in Mesler, son of Tom and Freda Pettit. He and Diana Cryderman were married March 12, 1987.

Pettit retired in 1991 as a supervisor with GM. He was a member of Lions Club of Lennon, and was a champion softball pitcher in the Flint, Mich., area many years. He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Jerry Pettit of Swartz Creek, Owen, Richard and Clifford Pettit of Lennon; a stepson, Keith Groves of Lennon; two stepdaughters, Patricia Prince of Flint, Tammy Miller of Missouri; his mother, Freda Hicks of Perkins; three brothers, Arlan Pettit of Scott City, Ray and Donnie Pettit of Perkins; three sisters, Norma Phegley of Spring Hill, Fla., Shelba Sutherland of Swartz Creek, Betty Curtis of Oran; seven grandsons, and five stepgranddaughters.
