JEROME SCHARENBORG

JACKSON -- Jerome Louis Scharenborg, 70, of Jackson died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998, at Heritage Gardens Nursing Home.

He was born April 26, 1928, at Leopold, son of John George and Frances Adeline VanGennip Scharenborg.

Scharenborg worked at Hahs Shell Service from 1946-66, Kroger Egg Grading Plant 1966-81, and at Southern Security Service from 1981-86.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 6405. He served in Missouri National Guard six years.

Survivors include five brothers, Everett, Wilfrid "Bill", John and Joseph Scharenborg, all of Jackson, Martin Scharenborg of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Eleanor and Frances Scharenborg of Jackson, Mary Schuermann of Barnhart; and two granddaughters.

Friends may call at Immaculate Church from 5-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church, with Msgr. Edward Eftink officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
