ORAN -- Jerome C. Diebold, 66, of Oran died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, at his home. He was born July 30, 1933, at Kelso, son of Leon and Marcella Stubenrauch Diebold. He and Marilyn LeGrand were married July 23, 1955. Diebold owned and operated Diebold Service Station from 1975-91, and for the past 10 years has been contractor for Oran Schools. He was president of Oran Rental the past 11 years...

ORAN -- Jerome C. Diebold, 66, of Oran died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, at his home.

He was born July 30, 1933, at Kelso, son of Leon and Marcella Stubenrauch Diebold. He and Marilyn LeGrand were married July 23, 1955.

Diebold owned and operated Diebold Service Station from 1975-91, and for the past 10 years has been contractor for Oran Schools. He was president of Oran Rental the past 11 years.

He was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and its St. Joseph Sodality. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Morley VFW Post 5368 and served several years as commander and as quartermaster. He was a former member of Oran Knights of Columbus Council 4311.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronald L. Diebold of Oran; three daughters, Karen Mansker, Lori Todt and Tami Rendleman, all of Oran; his father of Oran; two sisters, Shirley Bennett of Lake Worth, Fla., Ella Callow of Shelby, Miss.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 5 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Guardian Angel Church, with the Rev. Lewis Hejna officiating, assisted by the Rev. Normand Varone. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with graveside service by VFW Post 5368.
