Jennifer D. Stovall, 38, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Southeast Hospital. She had been struggling with health complications.
She was born May 22, 1975, in Greenwich, Conn., to Bill and Rose Pirtle Wolfert. She and Jason Stovall were married April 19, 1997, in Perkins, Mo.
Jennifer was a 1993 graduate of Oran High School. She had been employed by the Cape Girardeau School District since 2005, and served as cafeteria supervisor at Alma Schrader School and previously at Clippard School. She was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau and its United Methodist Women.
In addition to spending time with her family, she was an avid animal lover and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafts and surfing the Internet.
Loving survivors include her husband of 16 years, Jason; their children, Abbygayle "Abby" and Naythan, all of Cape Girardeau; her parents, Bill and Rose Wolfert; and a brother, Billy Wolfert, all of Perkins; paternal grandmother, Mary V. Wolfert of Palm Coast, Fla.; maternal uncle, Jerry (Shirley) Pirtle of Randles; and a maternal aunt, Jeanette (Martin) Eftink of Chaffee, Mo.
Other survivors include her father-in-law, Earl Stovall of Cape Girardeau; mother-in-law, Cheryl (Kermit) Gerhardt of Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Jessica (Robby) Shackles of Arnold, Mo., and JoAnna (Jason W.) Sams of Cape Girardeau; a stepbrother-in-law, Kevin (Jennifer) Gerhardt of Jackson; two stepsisters-in-law, Keisha (Justin) Bromley of Jackson and Krystal (Tom) Finkbeiner of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and a great-nephew, Tre Albrecht.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Warren Wolfert; maternal grandparents, Loomis and Emma Pirtle; and two maternal aunts, Ruth Ann Stanley and Brenda Cannon.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of service Sunday at Grace Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Tom Sullenger officiating.
