PEORIA, Ill. -- Jennie Merriman, 93, of Peoria, formerly of Buncombe, died Monday, May 20, 1991, at the home of a daughter here.

She was born Jan. 30, 1898, in Union County, daughter of Tice and Amelia Hartman Carraker. She married Clifton Merriman, who died Aug. 28, 1958.

Survivors include a son, Fred Merriman of Anna; two daughters, Glenna Griffith of Peoria, Mabel Carter of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and half sister.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Crain Funeral Chapel in Anna. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
