SIKESTON - Jennie Marie Gardner, 92, of Sikeston, died on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1992, at the Sikeston Health Care Center.

She was born Feb. 20, 1900, in Point Pleasant, Mo., daughter of John and Virgie Bowen Adcock.

She married Albert J. Gardner in 1918. He died in 1935.

Gardner was a life long resident of the Sikeston-Matthews area.

Survivors include a son, Joe Gardner of Lonoke, Ark.; five daughters, Mary Lee Chartrau, Peggy Tanner and Jane Cantrell, all of Sikeston; Barbara Rhoades, of Dexter; Margaret Green, of Mason City, Ill., 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Friends may call at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday. A graveside service and burial will be at 3 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
