COMMERCE -- A memorial service for Jennie Matilda Schmitt of St. Louis will be held at 5 p.m. today at New Life Fellowship Church in St. Louis.

Schmitt, 68, died Sunday, March 7, 1993, at her home.

Schmitt was born July 22, 1924, in Commerce, daughter of Henry and Hulda Sander Sanders. She married Donald F. Schmitt Oct. 20, 1946. He preceded her in death.

She and her husband owned Crestwood Termite Control in St. Louis.

Survivors include three daughters, Christine Cox and Donna Beck of St. Louis, Peggy Schmitt of Kansas City; a son, Mark Schmitt of Chicago; three sisters, Ordelia "Jackie" Wahrhausen of Hialeah, Fla., Mae Keesee of Scott City, Mary Bull of Hannibal; three brothers, John M. Sanders of Scott City, Louis E. Sanders of Cape Girardeau, James R. Sanders of Winter Park, Fla.; seven grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and two half-sisters.
