Jeffrey Dean Kondrad, 37, of Manchester, Mo., died Wednesday, July 11, 2001 at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur, Mo.

Born Nov. 17, 1963 in Bonne Terre, Mo., he was the son of Larry and Martha McClary Kondrad. His father died in the year 2000.

On Jan. 2, 1987 he and Dana Owens were married in Cape Girardeau.

Kondrad graduated from Scott City High School in 1982. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Southeast Missouri State University in 1986 and his Masters Degree in Business Administration from St. Louis University in 1992. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

Kondrad worked as a purchasing agent for Boeing Company in St. Louis for 13 years.

A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manchester, Kondrad was a member of the St. Joseph Covenant Keepers and Knights of Columbus Council 09522.

He also coached girls softball and boys baseball.

Survivors include his wife, Dana Kondrad of Manchester; his mother Martha Kondrad of Cape Girardeau; his son, Kory D. Kondrad of Manchester; his daughter, Kelsey L. Kondrad of Manchester; two sisters, Lisa Farmer of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Lynne Spriggs, of Cape Girardeau; a maternal grandfather, C.B. McClary, of Cape Girardeau and a fraternal grandmother, Louise Kondrad, of Farmington, Mo.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. John Whetmore officiating.

Pallbearers will be Tim Hester, Tony Short, Bob Kusky, Scott Carson, Keith Hinkebein, Kevin Weisenborn, Rick McClary and Mike McClary.

Burial will take place at Cape County Memorial Park.

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. July 20 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manchester.
