Jeff Nickels, 44, of Scott City passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 24, 1970, in Belleville, Illinois, to David and Marcia Nickels Adele.
Jeff was manager of the meat department at Bob's Foodliner in Scott City. He was a fun-loving person and loved his family dearly. His next love was his guitar. He enjoyed fishing, hiking and nature in general.
He is survived by two daughters, Sabrina and Cheyenne Nickels of Kingwood, Texas; mother, Marcia Adele of Scott City; a brother, Gary (Lisa) Nickels of Oakville, Missouri; a niece, Chloe; a nephew, Christian; grandmother, Dorothy Schaefer of Pollock, Louisiana; former wife, Karen Nickels; aunts; uncles; and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Adele; and beloved grandmother, Mary Bohn.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. June 20 at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crain Funeral Home to help defray expenses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
