DEXTER, Mo. -- Jeff Don Lincoln, 51, of Leawood, Kan., passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at Menorah Hospital in Overland Park, Kan. He was born May 25, 1961, in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Dexter, Mo., from 1961 to 1982. Survivors include his wife, Susan, of the home; two sons, Garrett and Dillon Lincoln; three stepdaughters, Kelly Akers and husband Jim, Lauren Shay and Shelby Shay; his parents, Don and June Lincoln; a sister, Diana Lincoln; a nephew, Josh Jarrell; a niece, Kacy Pease, all of Dexter; and his in-laws, Ron and Judy Pearson of Overland Park.. ...

DEXTER, Mo. -- Jeff Don Lincoln, 51, of Leawood, Kan., passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at Menorah Hospital in Overland Park, Kan.

He was born May 25, 1961, in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Dexter, Mo., from 1961 to 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Susan, of the home; two sons, Garrett and Dillon Lincoln; three stepdaughters, Kelly Akers and husband Jim, Lauren Shay and Shelby Shay; his parents, Don and June Lincoln; a sister, Diana Lincoln; a nephew, Josh Jarrell; a niece, Kacy Pease, all of Dexter; and his in-laws, Ron and Judy Pearson of Overland Park.

He attended Dexter Schools, and graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in health service management. He was a member of First Baptist Church and Order of the Arrow of the Boy Scouts. He was regional manager of several residential care and independent living communities for the Tutera Family Group of Overland Park.

Jeff loved life and to be around him would lift your spirits. That is what his friends and family will miss most.

A memorial service will be held today in Overland Park.

Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to service time Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Dexter.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Don Kennedy and the Rev. Amy Foley officiating. Interment will be in Dexter Cemetery.

Jeff was an organ donor and the family strongly urges everyone to consider that option. We, the family, are proud of his commitment to that cause.
