CAIRO, Ill. -- Jeff Berryhill, 82, of Cairo died Sunday, Oct. 20, 1996, at the Charleston Manor. He was born June 15, 1914, in Tupelo, Miss., the son of Jeff Davis and Nancy Elizabeth Chiffin Berryhill. He was married to Earlene Berryhill, who died in 1949...

CAIRO, Ill. -- Jeff Berryhill, 82, of Cairo died Sunday, Oct. 20, 1996, at the Charleston Manor.

He was born June 15, 1914, in Tupelo, Miss., the son of Jeff Davis and Nancy Elizabeth Chiffin Berryhill. He was married to Earlene Berryhill, who died in 1949.

He retired in 1976 from Cairo Water Co.

Survivors include two daughters, Claudette McCain of Kevil, Ky., and Elizabeth Ann Davis of Tupelo; two sons, Wayne Berryhill of Mounds and Walter Berryhill of Lewiston, Maine; two sisters, Lillie Young and Ivy Payne, both of Nettleton, Miss.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Tisdale-Lann Funeral Home in Nettleton.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Nettleton.

Crain Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
