JEANETTE BUNTING

SCOTT CITY -- Jeanette Loraine Bunting, 90, of Scott City, died Friday, Feb. 28, 1997, at the Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 23, 1906, in Brookport, Ill., daughter of Marshall Lawrence and Nettie Hunt. On June 5, 1927, she married Alva Merrel Bunting in Lawrenceburg, Ind. He preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1964. She was a member of Illmo Methodist Church and St. Marks 167 Order of Eastern Star, of which she was a past matron. She was employed by Singer Sewing Machine Co.

She is survived by two sons, Billy Bunting of Gilbert, Ariz., and Alva Bunting of Mesa, Ariz.; one sister, Elizabeth Cravens of Indianapolis, Ind.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

Visitation will be held at noon Monday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., Rev. William Dickey officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
