MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Jeanette Beck, 65, of Mound City died Friday, Jan. 10, 1997 at the Daystar Center in Cairo. Beck was born Oct. 26, 1931 at Cairo, the daughter of Murlie and Goldie Hensley Dorsett. She and Malcolm Beck were later married. She was a member of the Mound City United Methodist Church, the Mounds City Women's Club, the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and she was a retired educational secretary for the Meridian School District 101...

MOUND CITY, Ill. -- Jeanette Beck, 65, of Mound City died Friday, Jan. 10, 1997 at the Daystar Center in Cairo.

Beck was born Oct. 26, 1931 at Cairo, the daughter of Murlie and Goldie Hensley Dorsett. She and Malcolm Beck were later married.

She was a member of the Mound City United Methodist Church, the Mounds City Women's Club, the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and she was a retired educational secretary for the Meridian School District 101.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Charlotte Emanie of Mound City; one sister, Helen Cassel of St. Louis; one brother, Claude Dorsett of Lake Willie, S.C.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City after 5 p.m. Monday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Barkett Funeral Home in Mound City. The Rev. F. Jerry Herring will officiate with burial in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
