Jean Wibbenmeyer, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 23, 1928, in Cape Girardeau to Harold G. and Gertrude Swan Green Sr. She married Clemens "Pete" Wibbenmeyer on June 18, 1949, at Old St. Vincent Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.
She worked for Saint Francis Medical Center for 15 years and for Dr. Marshall Young for 15 years, retiring from Drury Industries.
Jean was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Mary's Ladies Auxiliary and was a Eucharistic minister for 10 years. She volunteered at Saint Francis Medical Center.
Survivors include two sons, Gary S. (Jane) Wibbenmeyer of Brentwood, Missouri, and Mark G. Wibbenmeyer of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Brenda Graham of Cape Girardeau and Denise (Stephen) Lavender of Austin; two sisters, Haroletta (Larry) Schlimme of Burfordville and Mary Jane Gonzales of Cape Girardeau; a daughter-in-law, Karma Wibbenmeyer of Austin; seven grandchildren, Logan (Alyson) Bell, Kana (Mike) Henning, Rebecca Wibbenmeyer, Jason Wibbenmeyer, Megan (Leo) Lujan, Madelyn Wibbenmeyer and Nathan Graham; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Karen Wibbenmeyer; a son, Ricky Wibbenmeyer; and a brother, Harold G. Green Jr.
A funeral Mass was Jan. 22 at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial was at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Mary's Cathedral.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
