Jean Ann Statler, 60, of St. Louis, beloved sister and aunt, died unexpectedly at home early last week.

Jeannie, as she was known to all, was born March 18, 1952, to the late Wiley Hinkle "Hink" and Catherine Eva "Puddy" Statler. Jeannie graduated from Central High School in 1970 and attended Southeast Missouri State University.

She is survived by loving sisters, Nancy Stone of Brentwood, Mo., Martha (Don) Thompson of St. Charles, Mo., Cathy (Bill) Bishop of Cape Girardeau; three nieces and six nephews who loved her as a second mother, a hip older sister, confidant and a good, good friend. She loved her extended family, including numerous cousins, great-nieces and nephew, her own aunts and uncles, and many other relatives.

She spent her career making everyone she advised look more fashionable. Jeannie was generous with her time, advice and sense of humor. She was always willing to share political opinions in spirited discussions and lend an ear any time you needed one to bend.
