JEAN BACHMANN

PERRYVILLE -- Jean A. Bachmann, 62, of Perryville died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, in Perryville.

She was born Aug. 21, 1935, in University City, daughter of Edward and Alfreda Malone Rathert. She and Hubert Bachmann were married Nov. 30, 1957.

Bachmann had been a secretary for Bell Telephone in St. Louis and Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, its Ladies Aid and Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carol Steffens of Jackson; two sons, David Bachmann of Old Appleton, Roger Bachmann of Perryville; two brothers, Herbert Lehmann and Alfred Rathert of St. Louis; a sister, Virginia Hutchison of St. Louis; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 a.m.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Church in Crosstown. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
