Jay "James" Green, 26, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Oct. 24, 1975, in Cape Girardeau, son of Barney Ray and Debbie Bollinger Green.
Jay graduated from Central High School in 1994. He was a security guard and cashier at Wink's. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.
He was an avid bowler and president of Thursday Night Men's Bowling League. He enjoyed fishing, WWF, NASCAR racing, and was a Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan.
Survivors include his father and wife, Barney Ray and Jackie Green of Bloomfield, Mo.; his mother, Debbie Green of Cape Girardeau; identical twin brother and wife, Ray R. and Tana Green of Cape Girardeau; maternal grandparents, Harold R. and Norma Bollinger of Cape Girardeau; paternal grandmother, Edna Green of Bloomfield; a special friend, Victoria Ramsey of Jackson, Mo.; and nieces, Kelsie, Katie and Madison.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Barney Green, and great-grandmother, Sadie DeJournett.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Howard Anderson and the Rev. Bob Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
