SIKESTON, Mo. -- Javon Buxton, 26, of Sikeston died Thursday, April 14, 2005, as the result of a vehicle falling from a jack. He was born May 3, 1978, in Chaffee, Mo., son of Ella Buxton and Michael Baker. Survivors include his parents, both of Sikeston; a daughter, Alandrae Applewhite of Cape Girardeau; a son, Javon Betts of Indiana; three sisters, Monique Franklin and Sheanell Hodges of Sikeston, Amy Bonnee of Tulsa, Okla.; five brothers, Michael Buxton and Mandell Brandy of Sikeston, Stephan Lesure of Milwaukee, Wis., Johnathon White of Tulsa, Reganald Pearson of Commerce, Mo.; and his paternal grandmother, Shirley McCellan of Sikeston.. ...

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandfather.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ in Sikeston.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with Ronald Williams Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.

Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
