Janice Lynn Schario, 52, of Jackson passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 5, 1961, in St. Louis to Eugene and Dorothy Baker Bailey. She and Mark Schario were married March 16, 1985, in St. Louis. They moved to the Jackson area in 1989.
Janice was a member of Covenant Life Church in Fruitland, where she enjoyed working with children. Janice homeschooled her children and was a former Cub Scouts leader. She was an avid photographer and gardener.
Loving survivors include her husband of 29 years, Mark of Jackson; five children, Matthew, Courtney, Keith and Amanda Schario, all of Jackson, Randy (Jenna) Schario of Tulsa, Okla.; a granddaughter, Devin Schario; two siblings, Pam Stiehr and Bruce (Kathi) Bailey of St. Louis; and a brother-in-law, Steve Schario of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Michael and Mark Bailey.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Terry and Mark Culberson officiating. Interment will be in St. James United Church of Christ Cemetery at Tilsit.
