ADVANCE, Mo. -- Janette S. Hill, 67, of Advance passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at Saint Louis Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Dec. 10, 1948, at Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Verman and Ruth Shrout McLain.
Janette had worked at Rhodes in Advance as a cook for five years. She later worked at Town and Country in Advance as a cook for many years. She attended 1st Pentecostal Church in Advance and United Pentecostal Church in Advance. She loved to take care of her family and pets. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking. She was raised and went to school in Puxico, Missouri.
Janette and Jesse Otis Hill were united in marriage June 24, 1967, in Puxico, and he survives of the home.
Survivors include her husband, Jesse Hill; two sons, Jesse "JR" Hill and DLane Hill, both of Advance; a brother, Terry McClain of Advance; two sisters, Sheila Bradley of Jackson and Jean Langston of Advance; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Chad Ferris officiating. Burial will be at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
