Janet L. Gleason, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born Aug. 3, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, to Clarence Donald and Georgia Evelyn Cotner Snyder. She and Jack R. Gleason were married July 30, 1962, in Cape Girardeau. Janet L. Gleason, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 3, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, to Clarence Donald and Georgia Evelyn Cotner Snyder.

She and Jack R. Gleason were married July 30, 1962, in Cape Girardeau. He passed away May 2, 1992.

Janet was the office manager at ERA Realty 21 years and worked part time at Medicap Pharmacy.

She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, a former Sunday school secretary and a board member. She was a AWANA worker and sang special music in the choir.

Survivors include a son, Doug (Doris) Gleason of Blytheville, Arkansas; a daughter, Georgia (Lynn Leible) Anderson of Perryville, Missouri; a brother, Kenneth (Joyce) Snyder of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home and from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Bethany Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Bethany Baptist Church, 1712 Randol Ave., Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
