TAMMS, Ill. -- Jane Simmons, 75, of Tamms died Friday night, Jan. 26, 2007, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1932, in Streator, Ill., to Rudolph Theodore and Wilifred I. (Losey) Hendrickson.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alton, Ill. She was a registered nurse and worked at hospitals in California, Florida, Illinois and Missouri.
She is survived by three sons, William T. "Billy" (Patty) Simmons of McClure, Clifford R. (Sherri) Simmons of Cape Girardeau, Mark (Karla) Simmons of Olive Branch, Ill; one daughter, Teresa (Charles) Birk of Tamms; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Hendrickson of St. Louis; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service for Jane Simmons will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, with Clint Nale officiating. Interment will be in Lindsey Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at Crain Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society of Cape Girardeau and will be accepted at the funeral home.
