Jane Day Baker, daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude McClain Leggett, was born Oct. 11, 1932, in Chaffee, Missouri, and departed this life Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri, at the age of 89 years.
On April 28, 1963, she married Alvin Baker. He preceded her death Oct. 15, 1991.
She is survived by a son, Don (Kathy) Leggett of Chaffee; daughter, Diana (David) McCormick of Chaffee; sister, Opal Kiefer; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Apart from her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Mike Leggett; sister, Audrey Faye Clark; and great-great-grandchild, Joshua Leggett
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral will follow at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with David McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
