ADVANCE, Mo. -- James C. Williams, 57, of Bloomsburg, Pa., died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, near his home.
He was born May 13, 1943, in Advance, son of Lawrence and Eula Smith Williams. He first married Wanda Leadbetter, who died April 19, 1988. He later married Lois Hunsinger.
Williams was a 1961 graduate of Advance High School, attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill., and Washington University in St. Louis.
He was an agent with Prudential Insurance Co. He was a member of Masters Lodge 542 in Ferguson, Mo.
Williams served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David Williams of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a daughter, Angela McCoy of New Orleans, La.; a brother, Eugene Williams of Dexter, Mo.; five sisters, Georgia Robins of Sullivan, Mo., Betty Nettler of Advance, Lois Arsta of Columbia, Mo., Reta VanMatre of Dexter, Sandra Smith of Clarkton, Mo.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 10-11 a.m. Saturday. A Masonic service will be held at 10:30.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
